There was once a time when I was fearful of venturing out in the unknown. Doing anything outside of the norm was terribly intimidating and scary. Remaining in what I knew was comfortable to me, but was I truly appreciating the beauty of what can be find in the most minute details of life?
As long as we stay in the environment of that which we are comfortable with, we are not living our life's purposes and enjoying the gifts of life. For example, we run out of fruits and vegetables and must take a trip to the store. We automatically jump in the car, take the bus, or walk to the store...the mode of transportation is irrelevant. We take the same route, stop at the same light, cross the same street, see the same bus driver/passengers and sites, beep our horns at the same intersection, and the list goes on. We park in the same spot, shop in the same aisles, speak to the same people, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera...we can go on and on, but I think you get the point.
The next time you need to go to the store (or do something that entirely in your norm,) do something different. Take another route. Communicate with people whom you are not used to speaking with (even if it is a simple, "hello" or a loving smile.) Walk down a different aisle, (go into the dairy section as opposed to the fruit section first,) smile at everyone whom you pass. I can guarantee you that you will see something different that you have never paid attention to before, and that you will learn something that you have been seeking clarification on (a bit more about clarification later.) Instead of doing the same thing all day every day, why not do something a little different and truly love and appreciate what you have learned.
I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Blessings and Love,
Tamara :)
